Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.
The Department of Health and Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as providing support to their relatives. Our goal is to focus on the citizen and provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation - around the clock. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to citizens in need.
The Position and Responsibilities
We are expanding our team and are now looking for a licensed physiotherapist with a focus on LSS operations and to continuously provide training in transfer techniques to staff across the entire department.
The position is located in the rehabilitation unit and is aimed at individuals with decisions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).
As a physiotherapist within LSS, you will work with the municipality's group homes, service apartments, and daily activities. The work focuses on strengthening the individual's functional ability, independence, and participation in daily life based on a rehabilitative approach.
You will participate in business development, risk assessments, and contribute to ensuring quality and developing rehabilitation efforts. The role also includes responsibility for documentation in the Lifecare journal system and working within the quality system for medical technology products.
Your main responsibilities include:
- guiding and training staff in transfer techniques, aids, and rehabilitative approaches
- assessing, investigating needs, and implementing individually tailored rehabilitative and habilitative interventions
- prescribing, adapting, guiding, and following up on aids
- providing advice and support to users, relatives, and staff
- participating in risk assessments and development work related to LSS operations
- documenting in the Lifecare journal system and managing the quality system for medical technology products
You will work closely with occupational therapists, nurses, managers, and support and care staff to create the best possible conditions for users' health, function, and quality of life.
We Offer You
With us, you will be part of a rehabilitation unit with engaged and competent colleagues who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a good work environment. You will report directly to the unit manager of the rehabilitation unit and be part of a team consisting of several physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
You will receive a structured introduction and access to a mentor during your initial period. The work is characterized by interdisciplinary collaboration, and you will have the opportunity to participate in internal and external training initiatives to develop in your profession. With us, you will have an independent and varied job where you contribute to increased quality of life for individuals within LSS and support staff through training in transfer techniques.
You Who Are Applying to Us
You have education as a physiotherapist and a valid license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience working within LSS operations
- Experience in conducting training/guiding staff
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience with the Lifecare journal system
- Driver's license for transfers between different operations
In the role of physiotherapist within LSS, you will work independently with assessment, planning, and follow-up of rehabilitative interventions in various operations. This requires you to be structured in your work approach, prioritize between tasks, and document interventions in a legally secure and clear manner. You will need to plan your work to operate in the units and conduct training in transfer techniques. You also need to be confident in your professional role and be able to adapt your working methods and communication based on the individual's functional ability, needs, and conditions.
The work involves close collaboration with support and care staff as well as other professionals, where your ability to build trusting relationships is crucial. You will guide staff in rehabilitative working methods, transfer techniques, and the use of aids, which requires clarity, responsiveness, and pedagogical skills. To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy working in a team, take responsibility for your assessments, and actively contribute to developing the quality of LSS operations.
